A band of nameless heroes tore the Fifth Isle from the skies and drove it into the abyssal Vast Deep, bringing a sudden end to its attempt to conquer the world.
None survived, and the remainder of the Sky Isles have kept their distance from Aeorde ever since.
That is how the story has always been told.

And now, a few now seek to remake that story in the present, but with the ending the Fifth Isle always intended…
Ten years ago, the continent was torn asunder when the elder beast Kottos clawed his way free from the bowels of the earth, decimating the capital of Aushan and plunging all of Actaeon into chaos.
In a pyrrhic final battle, Kottos was slain on the shore of the Corcera Sea, and the world has spent the last decade rebuilding. But the lands are still rife with the creatures which swarmed to the elder beast’s call, and there still exists those who do not believe Kottos dead.
Those who seek the means and the vessel by which to once more resurrect him, so that he might complete his vengeance…
